Established in 1997, the LIVESTRONG Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by cancer. It accomplishes this through direct services that provide personalized support to those diagnosed with cancer, cancer survivors, their caregivers, and health professionals. Through research, direct services, and community programs, LIVESTRONG helps those affected by cancer manage medical expenses, access a supportive community, understand treatment options, understand fertility preservation, and much more.
Challenge
After several years of working with Express Information Systems, LIVESTRONG was ready to upgrade to a simplified, cloud-based software that offered a table-driven chart of accounts. The new software would need to be flexible without being too technical or specialized for members of the LIVESTRONG team to operate.
Solution
Express Information Systems worked closely with LIVESTRONG’s accounting team to convert its aging software to the newest version of Sage Intacct, a cloud financial management software. The hands-on implementation and dedicated training sessions gave LIVESTRONG the knowledge it needed for a smooth transition from to Sage Intacct.
Sage Intacct’s robust capabilities allowed LIVESTRONG to simplify its entire accounting system. A complex, inefficient system with custom integration points that required specialized staff to operate was replaced with a user-friendly, streamlined system. This saved LIVESTRONG time, money, and removed the need to hire new specialized IT staff.
Today, LIVESTRONG continues to use to use Sage Intacct for accounts payable and receivable, banking, and all other financial elements of the organization. If something doesn’t go as expected, LIVESTRONG can depend on fast support and resolution from Express Information Systems.
