Food Management Partners is a restaurant ownership and operator group headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. FMP currently manages Furr’s Fresh Buffet, Sushi Zushi, Zio’s Italian Kitchen, Ryan’s, Old Country Buffet, Hometown Buffet, Don Pablo’s, Tahoe Joe’s, and Hops locations in 36 states. The group was also a founding franchisee in the Smashburger chain of restaurants.
All together, the company controls roughly 500 restaurants, mostly in the southwest, with more than $1 billion in annual sales.
Food Management Partners is always expanding so, they were looking for an all-in-one tool to handle day-to-day accounting issues like payroll, accounts payable, and HR as well as a team that could handle multi-location circumstances.
In 2012, Express Information Systems suggested, implemented, and trained the FMP team on Microsoft Dynamics GP. And, over the past seven years, as FMP has grown, the team at Express Information Systems has continued to support Food Management Partners’ daily to ensure that all their accounting challenges have been met. FMP now uses several software programs with service through Express Information Systems, including PaperSave for document imaging, Greenshades for tax filing, and Comprehensive Leave Manager, which allows FMP to handle requirements needed with personal time off for restaurant employees in the different states in which Food Management Partners operates.
